I know he was really, really old and I feel like he has been saying good-bye at general conference for the last 2 years, but I was completely shocked when I heard the news last night. I feel as though he was the first living Prophet that really meant something to me, probably because he bacame the prophet while I was a senior in High School.
I will really miss President Gordon B. Hinckley.

I felt the same way
I was a sophmore in High School and had the privilege of watching the press conference when he became prophet during seminary! I have always remembered that moment and the excitement I felt! He was a wonderful prophet and man.
I agree. It's not a surprise, but it still was a shock to hear. I just keep thinking about how happy he must be right now.
