President Hinckley passes away

I know he was really, really old and I feel like he has been saying good-bye at general conference for the last 2 years, but I was completely shocked when I heard the news last night. I feel as though he was the first living Prophet that really meant something to me, probably because he bacame the prophet while I was a senior in High School.

I will really miss President Gordon B. Hinckley.

Girl's Weekend

Here are a few pictures from my girls weekend. I had lots of fun just hanging out with my sisters/sister-in-laws....oh and doing a little shopping too. I totally forgot to take any pictures while I was there, but thank you Janna for these pics.

We went and saw the new movie "27 dresses" on friday night and I really liked it! Definitely a chick flick, but I will make Peter watch it when it comes out on DVD.

Sleepy Jake

I don't usually put Jake down for a nap because he won't go to bed at night.

Well, he was so tired this afternoon that he fell asleep like this-folded in half!! That can't be comfortable.

New Years Resolutions...

Ok, so every year I seem to make the same resolution to lose weight (it's not my only resolution, but a main one). I think it is because I pretty much let myself go from Halloween to New years. Well I haven't started yet this year because of vacations. With Disneyland at the beginning of this year and Wednesday I am going to Utah for what I call my "sisters" vacation. (We try to take a long weekend every year and just shop, hang out, whatever...just with no kids.) I am really looking forward to my break from my kids cause I feel like it makes me a better mother. (Oh I also think it's good for the dad to take a few days off and play mom.) After all us moms are in need of vacation time too, right? Anyway, so I have been saying that I will start my resolutions after this vacation, but I feel like it is too late. My pants are getting super tight and if I don't do something soon I will have to buy fat clothes! I seem to have lost all will power for food, you know when you can't have something you seem to want it soooo much more! Wish me luck!!

I talked Abbey into going on California Screamin' at California Adventure. She has never been on a big roller coaster like that before or one that has a loop in it. She absolutely loved it, and became her favorite ride of the whole trip. We all ended up getting fast passes for it and when it came time to use them most of everyone in our group when back to the hotel for naps. So we had 22 fastpasses to use for 7 people. It was awesome!! We were able to go it 3 times in about 35 minutes!! Fast passes are great!!

Quincy's favorite rides were space mountain and thunder mountain.

Owen's favorite rides were astro orbitor, star tours and buzz lightyear's astroblasters.

Jacob's favorite rides (he actually found some he liked by day 3) were the carousels and the golden zephyr.

It ended up being a really fun vacation but I think we are all disneylanded out for another 5 years.

Disneyland

We went to Disneyland last week and had lots of fun...well everybody but Jacob. He was not a fan. It was torture for him and he is still saying "I don't want it...dumbo" I think he was calling disneyland dumbo cause on the 3rd day we were there he pointed to the dumbo ride and said I want elephants.
