We woke up Saturday morning to an awesome thunderstorm. The rain is so welcome in the summer because it really cools it off out there (for a very short period of time). After the thunder and lightning stopped the kids wanted to play in the rain because the street was all flooded, so we let them. They had so much fun running through the gutter and they even talked their dad into playing with them. After they were done I made them all shower immediately to get all that nasty gutter water off them.

We used to LOVE to play at the local park on flood irrigation days. I shudder to think of what we were playing in, but it was so much fun! These kinds of memories will last forever with your kids. How fun!
Nancy how come you werent out there? looks like fun, got to love summer rain storms! remember when they used to open up the fire hydrants in California and totally flood the street? I remember playing it that and thinking it was the best!
Looks like Quincy got the worst of it! That looks like so much fun. Anything to beat that heat.

That looks so fun, we talked about doing the same thing, but while it was still rainging and tons of lightening, we should have gone out later!!

Fun!Fun! I totally remember doing that as a kid...it's a wonder we never got ill beacuse my mom didn't make us bathe right after! We played all day!!!!
