computer geek...

I just upgraded the memory on our old dinosaur computer! ME, ALL BY MYSELF!! It wasn't hard but I never thought that I could do something on the insides of a computer before.

After I opened it up this is what I found...piles and piles of dust! This computer is 4 years old and it is amazing that it was running at all with all that dust!
I'm so proud of my computer geekiness!

Book of Mormon Challenge

Ok, so I was going through my email and deleting a bunch of old ones and came to an email that I must of skipped from one of my sister in laws. It was a link to a website that has organized of Book of Mormon challenge that started on Feb 5th in honor of President Hinckley. The goal is to finish in 97 days (to represent the 97 years of his life). So I signed up and it told me how many pages I need to read a day to finish by May 10th. It also has a little chart to add to your blog to show your progress. I figured with the chart on my blog it will make me meet the challenge...so wish me luck!!

here is the link http://www.hinckleychallenge.com/ right now there are 30,281 that have taken on this challenge.

Cute Valentine's Tag

I was tagged by my cousin Stacey! So here it goes...

How long have you been together? We will be celebrating our 10th anniversary in June.

How long did you date? We dated for 2 months and engaged for 7. When we started dating I was turning in my mission papers, but by the time the call actually came I knew I wasn't going to go.

How old is he? 32

Who eats more? I want to say Peter, but when there are treats around it is me! I am so weak!!

Who said "I love you" first? Peter did.

Who is taller? Peter is.

Who sings better? I think we are about the same...not good, not bad.

Who is smarter? Peter, without a doubt. When I read my mind wanders and I then realize I have no idea what I just read!

Who does the laundry? Me

Who does the dishes? I do most the time.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? looking at the bed I sleep on the right.

Who pays the bills? He makes the money and I physically pay them.

Who mows the lawn? Peter

Who cooks dinner? Me, Peter is the weekend breakfast maker.

Who is more stubborn? Must be him, I don't think I am stubborn at all :)

Who kissed who first? He kissed me first, but it took like four dates. I found out later that he wanted to earlier, but apparently I would run to the door, so he didn't think I wanted a kiss.

Who asked who out? We were set up on a date by his brother. But he asked me out after that date.

Who proposed? Peter did. He said, "Will you be my wife?"

Who is more sensitive? Me hands down!

Who has more friends? I want to say me, but it's most likely him. He claims to be anti-social, but I think he is better at making friends than me. We have done more dinners and BBQ's with people from his work. I'm just terrible and inviting people over.

Who has more siblings? Me, I have 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Peter has 3 brothers.

Who wears the pants in the relationship? He does of course, I just tell him how to put them on! No really I'm just kidding...we are pretty good and making decisions together.

Who are you tagging? Shauna, Tina, Liz, Allison, and Jennie.

defiant children!

Last Friday night the kids were up a little later than normal playing and came in and asked if they could have a sleepover (all sleep in the same room). Thinking that they wouldn't actually go to sleep if we let them, we told them no. A little while later, we realized that the house was really, really quiet and our kids are usually pretty loud. So we checked on them and found them all asleep in Quincy's bed. Aren't they little defiant sweetharts!!

i'm obsessed....again!

OK, I'm completely obsessed again, this time with the TV show Grey's Anatomy! I watched the first season on my ipod (which was pretty good) and then monday I checked out season 2 from the library. I finished the second season in 4 days!! That's 27 episodes!! I am completely hooked! The problem is that all copies of season 3 are checked out from all the libraries in the county and I am number 19 on the waiting list!! So I am going to have to wait a couple of weeks...I just can't wait to get all caught up! It's such a good show! Oh and I am not obsessed with McDreamy...he will always be the nerd on Can't Buy Me Love in my eyes!

potty training time?

In the last couple of weeks, Jake has said that he wants to pee in the toilet. So I have helped him take off his diaper and stand by the toilet and the pee has never come out. Well, just a few minutes ago, Quincy came up to me laughing and said that Jake has pulled down his pants, took his diaper off and is standing by the toilet trying to pee, but the really, really funny part (to her anyway) was that his diaper has lots of poop in it! I went to check on him and sure enough there he was standing in front of the toilet with poop in his diaper and of course stuck to his butt! SOOOOOO GROSS!!! (no picture of course, but I am sure you all could imagine what it would look like) I wasn't planning on potty training him till this summer, but if he is going to pull stunts like this then just maybe he is ready. I just don't think I am ready to deal with potty training again....

SUPER BOWL XLII

Every year Peter gets us in a super bowl grid, which actually makes the game exciting for me! It is really fun to cheer...usually for teams to get the right amount of points, never for an particular team to win. Well this year, I got some really good numbers Giants-7 and Patriots-0...numbers that actually had a chance of winning, right?........wrong!!!! The Giants really blew the whole game for me in like the first 5 minutes. Oh well, the 4th quarter was still exciting to watch and I am really happy that the Giants won!

(nothing exciting is going on at our house right now, can you tell?)
